Simon Kinsey: was born in 1780 in Old Newton to Jacob Kinsey (1752-1789) and Elizabeth Codd (1755-1839), died on 24th January 1852 aged 72 and was buried on 30th January. He was a Victualler, living in The Street as Publican and Inn Keeper of the White Horse Inn for 32 years. He married Susan Finch on the 26th January 1807 at Drinkstone. He died penniless in Heigham Hall Lunatic Asylum, Norwich, Norfolk.
