Martin Nunn: was born in 1668 in Pakenham, married Mary Bray from Alpheton on 28th May 1701. They had eleven children, seven sons and four daughters. Martin was a churchwarden of St. Mary’s and his name. along with four other churchwardens, is carved on one of the tie beams which were installed in the Nave roof, presumably to stop the walls from spreading, in 1703. Martin died in 1724.
