Philip Parker: was born on 19th March 1769 in Newton, died on 7th November 1842 aged 73 and was buried on 12th November. He was a Farmer and Horse Dealer who built and lived at Parkers Farmhouse, The Street, and was married to Elizabeth Parker, née Rose (1771-1848). Philip and Emma had nine children, five of whom died below the age of 21. The Parker Tomb is on the West side of the South Porch.
