Edward Parr: was born in 1800 in Long Sutton, died on 11th February 1861 aged 61 and was buried on 15th February. He first married Maria on 25th July 1820 in Redmile, Leicestershire but she died in 1844. Secondly, he married Sarah Ann Gifford in 1846 (Bury St Edmunds Registration District). The 1841 Census shows Edward was a Supervisor of Excise but by 1851 he was living in Beccles as a fully retired Superannuated Supervisor of the Inland Revenue. He died in Hunstanton, Norfolk but his body was brought back to Badwell Ash for burial.
